【Indications】

1.To control symptoms and reduce plasma levels of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) in patients with acromegaly whose condition cannot be adequately controlled by surgery or radiotherapy. Octreotide can also be used in patients with acromegaly who are unable or unwilling to undergo surgery, or during the interim period before radiotherapy becomes effective.2. To alleviate symptoms associated with functional gastro-entero-pancreatic (GEP) endocrine tumors, such as carcinoid tumors presenting with carcinoid syndrome.3.
